Providing a Voice…February 20th, 2018
From a grassroots community of passionate carers around Australia, Dementia Australia has evolved into the leading organisation providing a voice for people impacted by dementia.
The new voice of Alzheimer’s Australia, Dementia Australia represents the 413,106 Australians living with dementia and the estimated 291,163 Australians involved in their care. With Alzheimer’s disease being the most common form, there are over 100 types of dementia, and as an organisation, their message is inclusive of all.
The evolution from Alzheimer’s Australia to Dementia Australia has enabled the delivery of constant support services, has strengthened their capability for advocacy and has enhanced the organisation’s ability to raise awareness, fundraise and facilitate research and education into the prevention, delay and cure of dementia.
At their core, it’s the same organisation you know; Dementia Australia continues to provide support, information and services for those living with dementia, carers, family and friends, as well as health professionals, therein becoming bigger, bolder and stronger.
All proceeds from the Mid-Week Meat & Super Saturday Raffles in January and February will be donated to Dementia Australia.
