In fundraising, the Club’s Events Team hosted a High Tea in Restaurant Thr3e for 150 people who enjoyed a delicious array of sweet and savoury treats, entertainment, prizes and raffles.

Over $5,600 was raised from this event and throughout the month for this wonderful charity.

The Club’s Events Manager, Amanda Grant said “We are very grateful for all the support provided by members and guests in making this such a successful event and raising funds for the Foundation. A big thank
you for generous donations from Brisbane Racing Club, City Property Services, Diageo, Event Cinemas Chermside, Lion, Mary Casey Florist, Nestle, PFD Foodservices, Piazza D’Oro, Priestley’s Gourmet Delights, Quest Chermside on Playfield and Simon George & Sons.”

The Foundation receives all its funding from the Australian public. This money funds research that helps develop better therapies, improved quality of life of patients, and provide a greater understanding of ways to stop the spread of breast cancer. Founded in 1994, The Foundation has funded around 430 Australian based research projects.
