Getting into the carnival spirit to raise funds for Hummingbird House

As part of the carnival fun on offer, Kedron-Wavell Services Club will host a dunk tank at the Club on Sunday, 16th August with their very own General Manager, Lyndon Broome volunteering to get drenched (dunked) to raise funds for the new Hummingbird House at Chermside.

Where:  at the front of the Club, 21 Kittyhawk Drive Chermside

When:  Sunday, 16th August 2015 from 12noon to 1pm

The community is invited to come along on the day and for a $5 donation will be given the chance to hit the target and ‘Dunk the Kedron-Wavell Boss’.

All money raised will be donated to Hummingbird House at Chermside, Queensland’s only children’s hospice currently being built at Wesley Mission Brisbane’s Wheller Garden’s site.

Their vision is to create a home away from home for families impacted by a child’s life-limiting conditions. It’s a place where kids can be kids and families can reconnect and create treasured memories.  The ongoing success of Hummingbird House will rely on the generosity of the community and corporate supporters.  You can help by donating at www.hummingbirdhouse.org.au/contribute.
